Office Jotter blog opens up a good discussion about this. I have been in the Business Intelligence market the past 20 years and nothing has changed; we have has named things slightly differently. I am sure that in the end of the day, we will find a way to see the real players from the "me too" vendors that have not much to show for. So, where you call it Enterprise 2.0 or something else, vendors are trying to figure out how to sell it to you. I agree that the article from

I think you are right with the meaning that McAfees arcticle gives the right definition and also on of the few professional analysis on this topic (without marketing influences)
