Microsoft (NSDQ:
MSFT) will make its Microsoft Online Services available to businesses of all sizes, the company announced Monday based on a
ChannelWeb web news bulletin, possibly bringing it into conflict with channel partners who resell Microsoft's Web-hosted applications to small and midsize businesses. Monday Microsoft also unveiled Web-hosted versions of its Exchange Server 2007 and Office SharePoint Server 2007 collaboration applications in a move that's sure to step up the competition with software-as-a-service products offered by Internet rivals
Google and Yahoo (NSDQ:
YHOO). The competition is heating up and this will be good for the customers. Another article apperead in eWeek Channel Insider where the discussion is questioning how the channel partners will be impacted of these new offerings. The software business models are changing and we need to be reflective to these changes and adjust our businesses accordingly. If we rely the market to go as we want it to go, we are for sure going to loose.
